Difference Between Sale Deed and Agreement to Sell
Many buyers confuse these two documents. Mixing them up can cost you ownership rights and stamp duty refunds.
Agreement to Sell
- Future promise of sale
- Does not transfer ownership
Sale Deed
- Final transfer of ownership
- Legally binding once registered
Key Difference
Agreement to Sell = a promise. Sale Deed = actual ownership transfer.
